    Deadlocked in a scoreless second-half battle with UC San Diego, West Florida's Chelsea Palmer provided the game-winning goal in the 77th minute to give the Argos their first national title.

    Chelsea Palmer scored the only goal for West Florida in its title win. It was the culmination of a long journey for the Argonauts. Last season, Palmer played against many of her current teammates.

    After battling and defeating the defending champions Saint Rose in double overtime on Thursday, West Florida is set to take on UC San Diego for the national title on Saturday in Evans, Ga.
