I am a Republican, and represent the 10th District of Virginia, which stretches from McLean to Winchester.

I sit on the House Appropriations Committee, and am the chairman of the Commerce-Justice-Science subcommittee. I also serve on the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development subcommittee as well as the State and Foreign Operations subcommittee. In addition, I am the co-chairman of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, a bipartisan organization made up of more than 200 Members of Congress who work together to raise awareness about international human rights issues.
