Womack, Ross Favor Cliff Deal; Griffin, Crawford Vote Against It
Reps. Tim Griffin, R-Little Rock, and Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro, voted against the legislation, saying it failed to cut government spending needed to reduce the federal debt. “The Senate bill increases revenues to the treasury by hundreds of billions of dollars but still adds billions in new spending to our ballooning deficit. That’s unacceptable,” Griffin said.

Possible Change In Mission For 188th Year’s Top Story
While Arkansas’ congressional delegation voted in favor the bill, members said they will still fight to save the 188th’s A-10 mission. Although disappointed with the action against the 188th, U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., said the bill authorizes “essential funding for our Armed Forces” that he supports and ensures the nation is “prepared to combat threats to our national security.”
