(Cleveland) – Voters no longer have to worry about whether the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will be open when they want to drop off their voted ballots for the November 6th Presid...ential Election. A special ballot box has been installed in the Board’s parking lot located at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. “The new ballot box is completely secure and will be under 24 hour surveillance,” said Jane Platten, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. “We want voters to be able to return their ballots any time they choose,” said Platten.See More
Voted ballots can only be dropped off at the Board of Elections. The deadline for returning ballots is November 6th between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Ballots cannot be dropped off at a voting location on Election Day.
Voters returning ballots by mail:
Voted ballots mailed to the Board of Elections must be postmarked on, or before November 5th. Ballots postmarked after November 5th will not be counted.
Election Officials are also warning voters to read the Vote by Mail ballot return instructions carefully before mailing their ballot. It is very important for voters to fill out their Identification Envelope completely. All of the highlighted areas must be completed and the envelope sealed in order for the ballot to be counted.
Ballots mailed to the Board of Elections must include 65 cents postage for 3 page ballots and 85 cents for 4 page ballots.
Voters may call the Board of Elections at 216-443-3298 if they have questions or need a new Identification Envelope.

Finally, targeted populations in Ohio will no longer be disproportionately impacted by the removal of critical early voting days leading up to the election. I am proud that the federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, have consistently reaffirmed the right of all Ohioans to equal access to the ballot box. Secretary Husted followed yesterday's ruling by issuing a directive reinstating early voting hours during the weekend and the Monday immediately before Election Day. We are now on our way to a fairer election process.
Here is the schedule for early voting on the final three days prior to the November 6th election:
