The Kunar province in Northeast Afghanistan, ischanging from one of the most kinetic regions in the land, to one of the more progressive and stable. According to Col. James Mingus, Commander, 4th Brigade Combat Team, the changes are due in part to Afghan Security Forces taking the lead in security. While on his way to a waiting Blackhawk, he shared with our Gail McCabe, that U.S. Forces in the area, are beginning to transition from battle space owners to battlespace integrators.
