LAMBORN STATEMENT ON GIFFORDS SHOOTING

“I am deeply saddened by the shooting of my friend and colleague, Gabrielle Giffords. She and I were both elected to Congress in 2006 and serve together on the House Armed Services Committee.

“Gabrielle is one of, if not the nicest member of Congress. Although we vote differently on many issues, she is always pleasant and professional to work with. Everyone I know respects and likes Gabrielle personally.

“This senseless act of violence will not be tolerated. My wife, Jeannie and I are praying for the Giffords family and the families of the other victims of this shooting.” – Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
