DETROIT, MI - Radio is often a cutthroat business that doesn't guarantee job security and often requires a host to have a resume ready for submission at any moment. Consider 39-year-old Brandon Tierney, a former host at Detroit's WDFN 1130 AM, a survivor that's made the most of his opportunities. He was part of CBS Sports Radio's launch last week of a new nationally syndicated sports network that broadcasts on Detroit's WXYT 1270 AM and co-hosts a new morning show with former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber and former ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson, a University of Michigan alumnus and West Bloomfield native. Mlive Detroit caught up with Tierney to get an idea of what his career is like now, and what Detroit sports radio fans should expect from CBS Sports Radio's programming.
