Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center depends on the goodwill of our benefactors and Volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes.
Volunteer
The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is proud of the Volunteers who donate time to assist Veterans, families, visitors and employees. Volunteers are a vital part of our healthcare team. Many individuals volunteer inside the Medical Center or in our Community Based Outpatients Clinics (Athens, GA and Aiken, SC) or in the surrounding community where Veterans live. Not only are the manpower hours needed, Volunteers assist with donations, special events, projects, and sponsorships.
Volunteers should be:
- Committed to Veterans
- Friendly and Outgoing
- Good Listeners with Good Communication Skills
- 18 years of age or older (14-19 years old for the Summer Student Program)
We have volunteer opportunities for:
- Individuals
- Couples/Families
- Schools/Teams
- Students
- Church Groups
- Corporations
- Civic Groups
- Veteran Service Organizations
Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Volunteering is extremely rewarding. We strive to meet your needs while meeting the needs of our Veteran-patients, families, and visitors. If we have not answered your questions on the following links, please call 706-731-7208.
