  1. "Things might be getting better, but we haven’t turned the corner yet. Unemployment remains high and economic performance low. The bad times continue.

And so, President Obama’s decision to lift the two-year old federal pay freeze, in our view, is both ill timed and unjustified. Bucks County Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick shares that view and authored reasoned legislation to re-establish the freeze."
  2. Today's legislation will provide countless families affected by Hurricane Sandy with the assistance they deserve under the National Flood Insurance Program.

I have been a tireless advocate for the Flood Insurance Program, and will continue working to ensure its long-term effectiveness and sustainability.

I look forward to working with colleagues from both parties to find common-sense solutions to the challenges we face as a nation in the coming term.
  4. I look forward to working with members like Congressman-elect Collins of Georgia on blocking President Obama's pay raise for Congress
  5. I spoke on the floor of the House this afternoon in support of the Congressional Pay Freeze Act, legislation I introduced to extend the existing pay freeze for federal workers through calendar year 2013.
  6. Yesterday, I joined friends, family and neighbors in Northampton Township in honoring three local servicemen.

Thank you to Lance Corporals Croak and Moscola and Private Marchese and their families for their service to our country. We owe everything in our communities to our nation's veterans and men and women serving in the military.

  7. Per President Obama's Executive Order to rescind the Federal pay freeze effective March 27, 2013, I will immediately work to pass legislation that will rescind the pending pay raise for Members of Congress. Should the legislation not pass by March 27th, I will not accept the funds decreed by President Obama's Executive order.
  8. I want to wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas.
  9. Last night I joined educators, school officials, families and friends in remembering and honoring the victims of Sandy Hook at a candlelight vigil at the 9/11 Garden of Reflection
