    Repository search will look through the names and descriptions of all the public projects on GitHub. You can also filter the results by:

    prefix description
    size: repo size in kilobytes
    forks: the number of forks
    fork: if the project itself is a fork
    pushed: the last pushed date
    username: the username of the owner
    language: the primary language of the project
    created: the date it was created
    followers: the number of followers
  • Users

    The User search will find users with an account on GitHub. You can filter by :

    prefix description
    fullname: the users full name
    repos: the number of public repos a user has
    location: the location of the user
    language: the primary language for the user
    created: the date it was created
    followers: the number of followers

Code Search

The Code search will look through all of the code publicly hosted on GitHub. You can also filter by :

prefix description
language: the language
repo: the repository name (including the username)
path: the file path
