I will always continue to support agricultural education,” said Boustany.  “These young people represent the future of Southwest Louisiana.  I am glad they chose to become involved in FFA and their community and wish them the best during the national conference.

The students came to Washington to attend the Washington Leadership Conference for Future Farmers of America to explore the expanding career field of agricultural education. The National FFA dedicates itself to building a positive organization for high school students by developing their potential for premier leadership and career success through agricultural education.

Attendees at the meeting included agriscience teacher Max Fontenot and students, Annie Simoneaux, Addrienne Comeaux and John Hyde.  Boustany discussed their future education plans, their preference in FFA and answered their questions about the government process.
