More NBF Than You Can Shake a Stick At

2007 National Book Festival, 9-29-07I know it is technically improper to end a sentence or headline with a preposition, even if Winston Churchill was (perhaps incorrectly) reputed to have said the rule was something “up with which I will not put.”

At any rate, I wanted to pass along that the Library’s in-house newspaper, The Gazette, has offered serialized wall-to-wall coverage of the 2007 National Book Festival at this link. There are high- and low-res versions of four PDFs that offer more print coverage of the NBF than you will find in any single place, perhaps outside of the transcripts that will eventually be uploaded for every single webcast.

The first issue (which ran Oct. 5) gives an overview of the NBF and focuses on the History & Biography pavilion, along with presentations related to military veterans.

The Oct. 12 issue features the Home & Family pavilion, as well as activities and presentations for children and young people.

The Oct. 19 issue focuses on poetry, mysteries & thrillers, and fiction & fantasy.

And finally, batting clean-up is the Oct. 26 issue, which includes a peek at the Pavilion of the States.

Die-hard fans can read them all here. I’ve already done so and found it all great reading!
