TVA Contractor Hire-In: Overview
Welcome to the TVA Contractor Hire-in Information site. Here you will find the forms, policies, and training materials needed to complete the pre-access process.
- Obtain approval to complete the pre-access process from your union business agent or contract company. You must complete this process to qualify for the incentive voucher.
- Print, complete, and sign the required TVA forms.
- Print, complete, and sign the required contractor forms.
- Email, fax, or mail the forms completed in steps #2-3.
- Review the required training material.
- Contact 1-877-709-4473 or npgpreaccess@tva.gov when you are ready to complete the pre-access process. Note: If you reviewed the training material online, you may choose to take the NANTel exams in advance at either your union hall or contractor's office.
- Report to the TVA site on your scheduled pre-access date to complete the pre-access process. If you reviewed the training using print material (or didn't take them in advance), you will take the exams at this time.
- After completing the pre-access process, you will receive your incentive voucher. Contact your union business agent for details.

In completing the pre-access process, please keep the following deadlines in mind. Note: The pre-access date is provided by your contract company.
All forms must be submitted at least 5 working days before your scheduled pre-access date in order to qualify for the maximum incentive voucher (step #4). The deadline for submitting forms is 2 working days before your scheduled pre-access date.
All required training material must be reviewed before your scheduled pre-access date (step #5). You must take the exams when you report to the site (step #7), if you have not taken them in advance (step #6).
