Neighbors & Concerned Citizens -- Water image.

We need your help to manage and protect the millions of acres of Washington State’s great outdoors. As a volunteer, you can help us clean up beaches, monitor streams, weed in natural areas, repair trails, host campgrounds, or guide school classes. And everyone can report vandalism or theft.

You also can take part in important decisions that help DNR protect state trust lands, forestlands, range, and aquatic lands. Citizens serve on many of our boards, councils, and advisory committees and take part in programs to support Arbor Day, public education about forestry, and more.

Here is the place to find out about the public hearings we conduct when new projects or plans are proposed that could affect state forestland, aquatic areas, and other places. We also can help you find copies of public records so you can stay informed about how we are protecting and managing state trust lands and the outdoor heritage we all treasure.
