Have a Flag Flown over the Navy Memorial
Commands, organizations or individuals wishing to have a flag a flown over the United States Navy Memorial can order a 3 ft. x 5 ft. nylon flag (with grommets for flying) through the Gear Locker – either by mail or online (shipping included). A presentation certificate will be provided with your purchase.
You can also send a flag – size and fabric of your choice (i.e. a service flag, Navy Jack, Seabee Flag, etc.), to the Navy Memorial. A presentation certificate will be provided for each flag sent.
Send your flag along with a written letter of request, return shipping container, and a check or money order to cover the return mail/shipping to:

Your letter of request should include the type and size of flag you are sending as well as:
- The name of the command, organization or individual, for whom the flag is to be flown.
- Any specific reasons (In Honor of, or In Memory of) including length of service, specific event to be honored, and/or the actual date of retirement.
- The date the ceremony you wish to make the presentation (a minimum of 3-4 weeks of turnaround time is requested).
- The point of contact; your name, mailing address, phone number, fax number and/or Email address.
In order to be sure you receive your flag back in time, it is requested that you allow a minimum of 3-4 weeks turnaround time. If you are making a request from outside the continental United States, please allow 5-6 weeks for turnaround.
