Six Year-Old Boy Suspended After Forming a Gun With His Finger and Saying “Pow!”

A six year-old boy in Maryland was suspended from school after he formed his fingers into the shape of a gun and saying, “Pow!”
The boy was given a day off for the pretend shooting.
The UPI reported, via Free Republic:
A Maryland 6-year-old was suspended from school for forming the shape of a gun with his hands and saying “pow,” a lawyer for his family said.
Robin Ficker said a boy, a student at Roscoe R. Nix Elementary School in Silver Spring, was given a one-day suspension from school with a conference planned for when students returned from winter break for the pretend shooting a week after 20 children and six adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., The (Springfield, Va.) Washington Examiner reported Wednesday.
“What they’re doing is looking at the worst possible interpretation of a young, naive 6-year-old,” Ficker said. “This is a little child who can’t form the intent to do anything like that.”
Assistant Principal Renee Garraway sent a letter to the boy’s parents saying the child had been warned.
“Your son … was involved in a serious incident,” Garraway wrote. “(He) threatened to shoot a student. He was spoken to earlier today about a similar incident.”
Ficker said the school has not told the parents what the “similar incident” entailed.
“It just shows the overreaction,” the lawyer said.
The boy was back in school today.

The child was being a little boy…it is the principal I am worried about! What a loony!

There is a war against little boys in our society and has been for quite awhile. It started with drugging them so they would be nice, quiet little men and not cause the teachers to have to deal with a rotten boy. It has continued unabated so that now we have all these feminazi’s permeating our institutions. Parents of boys should home school.

When you can remember the fun of playing in the backyard and having a great time imagining you are one of the best gunslingers in Town. Fighting the bad guys and getting the girl.
Now, your are suspended, expelled or sentence to detention. Sad really.

You should have your wits about you when tragedy strikes. But what is the first thing bleeding hearts do, subject children and adults to a crazy notion that guns in anyway are evil and all will be punished for a tragedy we had no way of preventing.
And next on O’s agenda will be gun control and I pray to God that the spineless Republican Party doesn’t cave once again.
The sadness that the family will feel and felt during the Holidays affected us all. That is what it did for me. You see it hit us all during what was suppose to be a Happy Time a time for kids.
I can imagine what the families feel as we have lost two children. Not in a horrible situation as Sandy Hook but still the loss of a child is devastating. What I do like is all of American Gun owners be punished because of a mentally challenge young man.
And now, a 6 year old the same age as some of the children who were slaughter that day is now being used as an example. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO OUR CHILDREN.

Ok. Then take away all video games. Take away the TV. Take away the internet which is permeated with violence. Remove any and all audio or other media form that could even hint at improper thought or action. This would include music, news, talk radio, etc. Take away all exposure to sports of any kind which, for the most part, exhibit violence in one form or another. Remove any access to any literature which may expose our society to any form of violence or improper attitude or action or anything that would instill in our minds a violent thought or be a catalyst toward violent action. This would include the Bible. In fact, we would have to remove all people from any exposure to anything that would lead to improper action towards others. We would have to completely isolate ourselves from all of society.

Growing up around alot of boys (never appreciated them until I turned 13), we played war, cowboys and indians with our six-shooters or rifles. Held my first “real” rifle when I was 3; put in my hands by my dad who taught all us kids how to shoot and the proper way to handle a firearm.

I am talking about an America that ALL were proud and felt the future was bright. And Children could play and be watched under the eyes of loving parents. Why is this happening because we have no leadership. Drug cartels are all over the place in Mexico, but the Los Zetas have gained the title of the most technologically advanced and dangerous cartel in the country. They’re ex-paramilitary, tooled up like a miniature army, and have even set up their own radio communications network to organize all their horrible, murderous, people-trafficking business.
Los Zetas’ radio network is the rock of the low-level operations carried out by the “street-soldiers.” It keeps daily activity running smoothly as well as providing a quick method of communication for the network of lookouts monitoring police movement and making sure the cartel is always one step ahead of the authorities. As you might have expected from a gang that seems to enjoy indiscriminately slaughtering people, they haven’t exactly gone about setting up their radio network in the most legitimate way. Their SOP has been to kidnap radio experts, and not one of the reported 36 missing technicians have been seen since.
