PERC in The Wall Street Journal

September 21, 2012

In today's The Wall Street Journal, Representatives Jim Renacci (OH-R) and Keith Ellison (MN-D) wrote an opinion editorial detailing their rationale for introducing The Credit Access and Inclusion Act (HR 6363).  The representatives cite PERC research in their article to point to the benefits of fully reporting utility and telecom payments to credit reporting agencies.

PERC whole heartedly supports the effort Reps. Renacci and Ellison are taking to help millions of Americans. With this legislation, Americans will be rewarded for their good credit behavior, whereas now they are only punished for delinquencies. This will help lenders see the credit invisibles for the first time and in a new and better light, and will help many millions who have scratch and dent credit owing to the macroeconomy repair and rebuild their good credit standing.
