Michaud’s Waterville Office Closes Today

Dec 13, 2012

WASHINGTON, DC – Due to congressional redistricting, Congressman Mike Michaud’s office in Waterville was closed today. Last year, the Maine Legislature passed a redistricting plan that moved Winslow and Waterville into the First Congressional District and the towns of Mount Vernon, Gardiner, West Gardiner, Unity, Sidney, Belgrade, Rome, Vienna, Albion, Monmouth, and Randolph into the Second Congressional District.

“It’s truly been an honor serving these great communities,” said Michaud. “I know our congressional delegation will continue working closely together to make sure the needs of Mainers are met and that their voices are well represented.”

Michaud encourages area residents to contact his Lewiston (207-782-3704) or Bangor (207-942-6935) offices if they are in need of assistance. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree plans to maintain the office vacated today by Michaud, but it won’t officially be open until after the New Year.
