Later this year, 5 million businesses will receive questionnaires in the 2007 Economic Census. Every 5 years, the Economic Census provides the most comprehensive, detailed, and authoritative facts about the American Economy. Most businesses with paid employees will receive a census form. There are over 500 versions of the census report form, each tailored to particular industries or types of activity. If your business operates more than one business, you will receive a separate form for each U.S. location of your company. The links below provide additional information to help businesses prepare for the Economic Census.

    Key Dates for the 2007 Economic Census:

    January 2007 Beginning of the Census year
    October-December 2007 Companies receive Economic Census forms
    February 2008 Census forms are due - February 12, 2008
    2009-2010 Census results are published beginning February 2009
