Dear Friend,
Republican lawmakers continue to press for federal spending reductions to decrease our debt and deficits and spur job growth.
Every single day, I am in this fight for Mississippians and our country. I believe that Congress must significantly reduce spending and put people back to work. And make no mistake: I will not vote to increase taxes.
As the negotiations proceed, I will continue to support a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) to the Constitution, which would require that total spending for any fiscal year not exceed total receipts.
It’s time for responsible leadership. The president needs to stop scaring seniors and get serious about cutting spending and creating jobs.
