"The president should extend deployment indefinitely until we bring in enough federal agents and resources to secure the border.  Right now we are nowhere close.  The cartels have operational control over much of the border and we've seen a trend over the past year of our state and local law enforcement being shot at and assaulted on a regular basis.  This is a war and the administration needs to recognize it and treat it as such."
