Schwartz: Boehner's "Plan B" Jeopardizes Seniors' Access to Health Care
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz issued the following statement...
In the last few years, we have done more to strengthen health care in America than we have in decades by expanding access, reducing costs, and demanding better quality. We have more work to do, and I will continue to work to strengthen health care for individuals, families, and businesses here in Pennsylvania and across the country.
In Southeastern Pennsylvania, health care is paramount to our local economy. Academic medical centers and hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturers are all driving advancements in both medicine and the way we deliver care.
Working with these emerging industries to transform our health care system and ensuring every American has access to affordable, quality health care has long been a priority of mine. I have championed efforts to strengthen Medicare for our seniors, provide greater protections for consumers, strengthen primary care, improve coordination of care between health settings and between providers and patients, and advance innovation and technology.
