WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins issued the following statement in response to the final public release by the World Trade Organization (WTO) that found that the European governments gave illegal subsidies and launch aid to Airbus and that the subsidies must end.

“WTO’s final rule confirms what we have known for months: the $4 billion in subsidies that the European governments gave to Airbus were illegal. It is time for the Department of Defense to take into consideration the illegal subsidies Airbus received and to base its final tanker decision on a fair and level playing field for American workers and the American tanker.”
