Dear Friend,
The longstanding tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving dates back to harvest festivals during our nation’s infancy. For our family, this annual holiday is a time to rejoice, rejuvenate and remember our guiding principle as one nation united under God’s direction.
As you pause on this pleasant autumn day, I encourage you to give thanks for the countless sacrifices continuously made by our military families. Today, many of these individuals will be separated from their loved ones, adding to the stresses of public service.
In closing, Sidney and I cannot thank you enough for the honor of serving each of you in Congress. Our steadfast promise has been and always will be to serve Mississippi with honor and integrity.
