Each day thousands of veterans return to civilian life, only to find that there are few jobs, if any, available.  These veterans have risked their lives and sacrificed so much to protect the United States and all the values for which it stands.  It is a travesty that these warriors cannot find good jobs in the nation they fought to protect once they return to civilian life.

That is why I am proud to partner with the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council in hosting a “Helmets to Hard Hats” event at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on Saturday June 23rd.  This event aims to put veterans in contact with companies looking to hire workers in the South Jersey area.

If you or anyone you know is interested in attending this event, please e-mail H2H@NJBCTC.org by June 15th to register.  Attendees must register in advance in order to gain entrance to the Joint Base.

Throughout the summer I will be hosting more veteran related events to ensure that the men and women who protected our nation are supported when they come home.

If you have any questions about this event or any veterans’ affairs issue, please do not hesitate to contact my office in Mount Laurel at 856-780-6436 or my office in Toms River at 732-279-6013.
