My wife and I voted for you based on your record and your position on the out of hand spending. PLEASE, stand on your record and fight for increased spending. I don't like taxes and feel I pay more than my share, but our big problem now is DEBT.

Dr Burgess I agree with your position of spending cuts. However I hold the GOP of Congress responsible for the Fiscal Cliff unfortunately the Tea Party has hijacked my party with no logic behind some of their ideas. The GOP can't cater to the ultra right and expect to win future elections. The party needs to hit a reset button and be more inclusive to others. Under today's ideology there appears to be a scorched earth policy if "we" don't win nobody wins. Ultimately we the people of this country suffer as a result of such practices. Yes we have a heavy debt and YES we have to pay for it ..... Our next milestone is the ceiling and inevitably it has to be raised because we have spent too much. The thing that is lacking is hard work and a good debate of give a little and receive something in return. This common form of debate has been lost and perhaps the only way of achieving that "reset" is a amendment for Term Limits.

I did vote for you and thank you for your service. Now for the workd of constructive criticism...Stop the games the GOP is now engaging in to appease those of the hijacking Tea Party. Next milestone is to raise the debt ceiling. Continue to debate budget and spending reform. Work to lower healthcare costs and increase healthcare standards among providers. Final words: lead better, work harder, debate more constructively and analyze faster. I have already left a message for Sen. John Cornyn. Regards, Sharon Denton, TX.
