Where to recycle your Christmas tree
The City of San Antonio has set up 20 locations where you can recycle your Christmas tree into mulch for free the first two weekends in January. Just bring your ornament-free tree to one of the locations from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, Sunday, Jan. 6, Saturday, Jan. 12 or Sunday, Jan. 13.
If you miss the drop-off dates, the Bitters Brush Recycling Center, 1800 E. Bitters Road, and Nelson Gardens Recycling Center, 8963 Nelson Road, will accept tree free of charge throughout the month of January. If you have questions, call 311, or visit www.sanantonio.gov/swmd.
