Olson Applauds GAO Decision on BAE

Washington, DC – Rep. Pete Olson today issued the following statement regarding reports the Government Accountability Office has decided to overturn the Army’s decision to shift the Army FMTV contract award from BAE Systems in Sealy to Oshkosh Corp. in Wisconsin:

“I applaud today’s decision by the GAO.  The BAE plant in Sealy has, for years, provided the United States Army with high quality equipment that consistently exceeds standards.  While the ruling is welcome news, the process is still ongoing and the fight is not over.  It is my hope that from here the Army will take the right course and action and thousands of Texans will remain employed at BAE for years to come.”
