2013 Inauguration Ticket Requests
DUE TO A HIGH VOLUME OF REQUESTS, WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING TICKET REQUESTS FOR THE 57TH PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 57th Presidential Inauguration Swearing-in Ceremonies will be held at the Capitol on January 21, 2013 in Washington, DC.
Each Congressional office receives a limited number of tickets to the ceremony to distribute to their constituents. As you know, demand for Inaugural tickets far exceeds the number available, but please be assured we will do our best to accommodate your request. Due to this high demand, I can only distribute tickets to those who live in the 5th Congressional District of Oregon. If you do not reside in this district, I urge you to contact your Congressman or Congresswomen.
Tickets are only available from a congressional office so please be aware of organizations trying to sell fake tickets.
Additional information is available at the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies website.
Ticket Requests and Distribution
Please fill out the ticket request form.
Due to the limited number of tickets available, our office will:
- Only be granting tickets to constituents of the 5th Congressional District of Oregon, and
- Only issue a maximum of 4 tickets per request.
It is important to note that all children, regardless of age, will require a ticket.
(This event has historically taken place on some of the coldest days of the year. Gates open at 9:00AM and no food, beverage, strollers, folding chairs, or the like will be permitted past security. For these reasons, the Joint Congressional Committee on Inauguration strongly recommends not using tickets for small children.)
Those receiving tickets will be notified via email with additional information.
Tickets will NOT be mailed. They MUST be picked up in person. Photo ID will be REQUIRED and tickets cannot be picked up by another party.
Additional Notes
Most tickets will be standing room only and at a distance from the podium.
Please feel free to contact your Senators as well. Both Members of the House and Senate have separate ticket allotments to be given out.
Congressional offices do not receive tickets to other events. Details regarding the parade and inaugural balls and galas are handled by the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Viewing the swearing-In ceremonies from the National Mall does not require tickets. The non-ticketed area of the National Mall begins at Fourth Street NW.
Thank you for your interest in the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. Please understand that submitting this request does not guarantee you will receive a ticket. Requests from outside the 5th District of Oregon will not be considered.
