Education
I am a lifelong educator.
Prior to coming to Congress, I served as an elementary school teacher, as a Head Start Coordinator, as a school principal, and as a member of the Miami-Dade County School Board.
As your Representative, I promise to draw on these experiences daily and always remember what I learned from our young people. I believe all children deserve a 21st Century education that will prepare them for success in the new global workplace.
I will fight to protect all forms of education funding, fight to ensure that our young men have mentoring programs to turn to, and fight to make sure that every child in this country has an opportunity to succeed.
