Katie Holmes was snapped in New York City on Saturday, and today was a double day for her, as she has both a 2pm and an 8pm performance of the play Dead Accounts. While it hasn't been getting the best reviews, at least the production hasn't gotten shut down!

Chaplin, The Anarachist and Kathie Lee Gifford’s Scandalous have all received closing notices, mostly due to low ticket sales. A Broadway source tells NYDN's Confidenti@l that the play only made it to the stage because Holmes agreed to star, and "now its future rests entirely on her shoulders." The insider added, “Katie is a curiosity. She is not a Broadway actress. But I don’t believe that anyone will pull the rug out on her. I don’t believe Katie’s team would stand for it.”

Let's hope not!

Christina Aguilera and beau Matt Rutler took her son Max to karate class on Saturday, and while the pop diva wasn't all that thrilled, her little boy couldn't contain his excitement. What a cutie!

While Xtina wasn't in the best mood today, Ellen DeGeneres made her crack a smile the other day when she asked about her co-stars on The Voice ... specifically Cee Lo Green's apparent problem with flatulence. The singer, who turns 32 on December 18, told Ellen, "[I'm sitting] between Blake and Cee Lo with his gas over there ... That's why I have the fan, you know." Xtina quickly added, "I love you Cee Lo. Don't be mad. Everybody knows."

Kim Kardashian's 4-month-old kitten Mercy, who was a gift from boyfriend Kanye West, has been put down, the reality starlet confirmed on her blog.

After learning that she was allergic to the cat, Kim gave her to sister Khloe's assistant Sydney Hitchcock in September. When the teacup Persian came down with symptoms of a "cancer-like virus often associated with breeding," Sydney decided to have her euthanized.

"My heart is completely broken," Kim wrote. "I had fallen SO in love with Mercy that I wanted to try everything I could to keep her but I didn't think it was safe to resort to injections, and it wasn't fair on Mercy, because I couldn't play with her or give her as much attention as I wanted to. Mercy deserved a mom who could really give her the time and affection she deserved. I knew that Sydney, Khloé's assistant, who had recently lost a cat she had loved and cared for for 17 years, would be the perfect mom for Mercy and Sydney was so excited to have Mercy as her own!"

"They discovered she had a stomach problem that we weren't aware of," Kim continued. "Poor little Mercy died the very next day. It broke not only my heart that little Mercy died at only four months old, but Sydney's too. Mercy was a gentle and loving kitten and we are all going to miss her so much. Thanks to Sydney for making Mercy's short life one filled with love. RIP Mercy Xo."
