--Greetings for the Holidays—

This is the most pleasant, cheerful, colorful and enjoyable season of the year!

I hope we can all stay focused on the true reason for the holiday season.   Call it whatever you may, Jesus is the reason for the season.  We cannot deny that our great country, the United States of America, was established on Christian principles.  Therefore, we continue to uphold and enjoy those principles of truth.

Giving gifts is one of the major activities we engage during this season.  Why? It’s because we are “unconsciously’’ making an effort to repeat an act or gesture of “love” that was given to us many, many years ago. We were given a gift that surpasses any gift we can give, because its characteristics are:  omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient!  I hope everyone will pause for a few minutes to consider this gift of love that you hold inside, and pass it on as it comes from your heart.   I pray that it is true love and given without any restraints or expected returns.  Try giving your gift unconditionally, if you will.  In choosing your gift or multiple gifts this season, wrap them in love; give them with love and without expected reciprocation. 

Let’s all hang a special love ornament under our Christmas tree that says “I LOVE YOU” to all of our men and women valiantly serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, to their families and to the broken and bereaved hearts that are trying to endure and cope with the loss of their loved one in the war or from a disability incurred as a result of the war.    I extend a personal ‘thank you’ to all of the Veteran auxiliaries and various other support groups that are embracing the needs of our military families.

May you all be abundantly blessed with good things and good health.
