Legislative Work
One of the most important aspects of Congress is developing, making, and monitoring laws. New laws are created every week. As a Member of Congress, I am actively involved in sponsoring and drafting legislation about issues that are important to you.
Primary Areas of Focus
- Work on amendment giving territories the right to vote in presidential elections
- Pass HR 53, National Park Service lease for St. John school
- Senate hearing for HR 2107, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) legislation
- Work on legislation to establish an Article III Court
- Work to lift the cap on Medicaid for the territories
- Work to include territories in Supplemental Social Security (SSI) funding
- Work to pass legislation giving Virgin Islands same IRS statute of limitations as US
- Please contact my offices to share your thoughts on current legislation that may affect you, your family, and your community.
