Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert' is an outstanding garden plant for the Mid-Atlantic region. It is an old garden hybrid and is sometimes sold as Anemone Japonica 'Honorine Jobert' or A. x hybrida 'Alba.' Once established, it is relatively low maintenance and has showy white flowers from August through frost. When grown in good garden soil and protected from hot dry conditions and afternoon summer sun, it should eventually naturalize and spread into colonies up to two feet across. It does not perform well in poorly drained soils or particularly excessive winter dampness.
