Rehberg Pushes for Passage of Jobs Agenda

KALISPELL, MT – Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today released the following statement in response to the latest jobs numbers that indicated that no jobs were created in August and that unemployment rose to 9.1 percent.  Rehberg is visiting job-creating small businesses in Kalispell today.

"The failed policies of the President and his Senate allies have not turned our economy around.  In fact, reckless government spending has made things worse.  My top priority is to continue working with Republicans and Democrats to find ways to help the private sector create more jobs.  Montanans can’t afford partisan bickering while our economy is at a standstill.  It’s time to pass legislation to reduce red tape, simplify the tax code and give small businesses the confidence they need to go out and hire a neighbor.”
