Burton Condemns Attacks on Americans in Libya
Washington, D.C. – Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN-05), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement today following the attacks on Americans in Libya:
“Today we mourn the loss of four Americans including that of Ambassador Christopher Stevens in the assault on our Embassy in Libya. Our prayers are with them and their families.
“Make no mistake. This heinous act of terror on the 11th anniversary of September 11th, represents an assault on American freedom’s and fundamental values. In condemning these attacks, we must make clear, to our allies and to our enemies, that we will not tolerate acts of violence and fear against our citizens. ”
