4th Congressional District High School Art Competition
I am happy to announce that once again I will sponsor the 4th Congressional District High School Art Competition entitled “An Artistic Discovery” in 2011. Last year, students from all over the District submitted their art works. The 2010 winning piece hangs in the U.S. Capitol with other winning artwork from around the country.
The new application will be available online this winter. To be eligible for participation, students should, but are not required to, live within the 4th Congressional District. Students should have their art teacher, or other school representative submit their entry. Each school will be allowed to submit a total of 10 pieces. A panel of judges will jury the artwork and select the grand-prize winner. Every student who participates will be awarded a Congressional Certificate of Recognition and be invited to the local reception.
