Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., R-Southwest Louisiana, this week welcomed a group of Louisiana students to Washington, D.C. who participated in the March for Life Rally today.

All human life is precious, and those who came to Washington this week demonstrated that in a very real way,” Boustany said.  “The health care debate reminds us of the importance of giving a voice to those who have none.  As a doctor, I saw the value of each life and bring those experiences to Congress.  I appreciate those across Louisiana who work to improve the lives of pregnant women and their unborn children during the March for Life and throughout the year.

Boustany met with students from Opelousas Catholic School who traveled to Washington to participate in this year’s rally.  The March for Life Rally is held annually in Washington to show support for unborn children and their mothers.  In its 37th year, the march brings hundreds of thousands of people to the nation’s capitol.
