Boustany Statement Regarding Increased Violence in Lebanon
Jan 23 2007Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr. (R-Louisiana) today released the following statement in response to today’s increasing violence in Beirut, Lebanon:
“Like many Lebanese Americans, I am concerned by today’s escalation of violence in Beirut. It is troubling that a Hezbollah-lead opposition has once again resorted to violence over dialogue.
“With the upcoming international conference in Paris, it is imperative for the United States to continue to support the elected government under Prime Minister Siniora as it seeks to create lasting reform.”
