Boustany Announces $88,000 for Rayne's Gossen Memorial Park

Washington, D.C.  – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr. (R-Lafayette) today announced that the Gossen Memorial Park in Rayne will receive a federal grant of $88,525.80 from the National Park Service.

“The Gossen Memorial Park is a great asset for Rayne,” Boustany said.  “I am glad that the young people in Rayne will be able to enjoy this park, and I am confident that the funds will be helpful in enhancing this resource.”

This funding is awarded by the National Park Service’s Land and Water Conservation Fund to develop public outdoor recreation areas.  Other state and federal grants awarded to the park will supplement this grant, which will fund the construction of the park’s playground.
