Dec 17, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Rob Woodall’s (GA-07) freshman classmate and fellow Rules Committee colleague U.S. Representative Tim Scott (SC-01) was selected by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to fill the Senate seat being vacated by U.S. Senator Jim Demint (R-SC).  Representative Woodall issued the following statement regarding Representative Scott’s selection:

“I could not be happier for my friend and colleague, Tim Scott, for being selected to serve in the U.S. Senate.  Tim is a skilled leader and dedicated public servant.  He will be missed in the U.S. House, but I am certain that he will be a valuable addition to the United States Senate.”
