  1. Talked to Ed yesterday on why we need strong filibuster reform that includes the "talking filibuster." If we don't end the secret, silent filibuster that is haunting the Senate, we will never be able to take on the big challenges we face as a nation. SHARE if you agree.

    •  Wisdom from those who lived it, rather than the ideological dream of those who crave power and domination.

    • Yes, confirm every single disappointment Obama wishes to make. After all, everyone he's appointed views Congress as a joke, even saying this to your faces, so it's not like this one will say anything different. So much for the Constitution.

    • Thanks for all the work you do! Please consider taking up the issue of using drone strikes in countries we are not at war with. Far too many civilians are being killed and we are making enemies left and right in Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, and elsewhere.

  3. Voted No on the extension of FISA because we must have more oversight over this broad surveillance program that may spy on Americans without a warrant. In order to have a full debate on the extent of powers granted to our national security ...agencies in post-9/11 laws, such as the Patriot Act and the FISA Amendments, we must have transparency in how those laws are interpreted by the courts. An open, democratic society like ours should not be governed by secret interpretations of laws.See More

  5. It is outrageous that at this point in the path towards equality under the law in America, members of the GLBT community are still denied fundamental, everyday privileges as a part of their daily lives, be it housing, be it in restaurants, be it in employment. None of that is acceptable.
  6. Last week, I was thrilled to accept a seat on the Senate Appropriations Committee. There is no clearer statement of values and priorities than how our government allocates its resources. I look forward to bringing common-sense, Oregon values to the national conversation in this new role.
  7. We need to reform the Senate, and that means bringing back the talking filibuster. We must put an end to routine obstruction that stops us from taking on the big issues our nation faces. Please share if you agree!
