Left out “Altered Beast” by Matthew Sweet. #FAIL

All 20 of these are irrelevant now.

“Tag team back again…” LOL I was 7 years old but I still remember most of these albums. I was always listening to music.

Good lord.  Interesting thing: this was also the debut of Vibe Magazine. For their first cover, they had the choice b/t Snoop Dogg and Janet Jackson. After much back and forth, they went with Snoop Dogg. Janet (who would do the next cover and many more thereafter) went to do the Rolling Stone cover…the rest is history.

And they're still great

I was born a year before these albums came out…ha.

Republic by New Order, and Songs of Faith and Devotion by Depeche Mode are very curiously missing from this list — and yet you included Candlebox and A Tribe Called Quest? Oh Buzzfeed…you're a funny fish.  *I'd like to give an honorable mention to The Other Two & You, one of the greatest musical satires of the “Poptastic” nature of the music of the era.

Where is “Covenant” by Morbid Angel? Where is “Chrome” by Catherine Wheel? Where is “Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby” by Girls Against Boys? It is sad.

Welcome back to eighth grade. Creepy.

You know this isn't how human beings count time, right? We didn't all become one year older when the calendar rolled over, we're one year older on our birthdays, just as these albums will become 20 years old when it has actually been 20 years since their release.
