Military Slide

As a former Marine and a former member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I stand in strong support of the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces. There is no doubt that we are in challenging times where the personal resolve and dedication to duty by those who wear the uniform will serve as the foundation of America’s national security. As former Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I am acutely aware that the very first and foremost responsibility the government of the United States has to its citizens is an effective and strong defense from foreign enemies of our nation. If we fail in this responsibility, none of the other responsibilities will matter. Our continued freedom, and that of our children, is at stake.

I am constantly humbled by the personal sacrifices made by our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines, present and past, and their families, whose service ensures America’s safety and freedom. By providing the resources necessary to recruit, train, and equip our nations finest, we ensure that the United States military, unprecedented in its scope, power, and precision, remains the greatest military in the history of the world.
