This is The Matthew Sandwich on Sfilatino bread at Alidoro, an Italian speciality sandwich shop in NYC. It is impossibly large — stacked with mozzarella, thin-sliced prosciutto, arugula, and a simple oil and vinegar dressing. And it is the best thing I ate last year. I might even say it's the best sandwich I've ever had. Thing is, I usually hate sandwiches (*ducks*), but this one had such high quality ingredients, including the most unbelievably chewy bread, that I had to restrain myself not to eat lunch there every day after.

Behold the best sandwich in the world. Really, any of the sandwiches from Mario's Italian Deli & Market in Glendale, CA. I've had several — all fantastic — although my favorite is the Prosciutto di Parma. Everyone I know who eats there always gets the same sandwich they had the first time, because it's so good they can't pass it up on future visits.

Finnish salmon soup (lohikeitto), I love salmon anyway but when you mix it with cream, potatoes , dill weed and lemon juice something magical happens. I've decided to go vegan so this awesome meal will be missed very much.

Zingerman's Deli, Ann Arbor
#18 Georgia Reuben with a new pickle and spinach feta pasta salad. Even though this is at least the 50th time I've gotten this sandwich, I still die when I eat it. -

Ostrich burger with fried onions and stilton mayonnaise. Got it at a music festival.

I don't have a picture, but I had a Thai basil coated chicken breast with jasmine rice on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas. It was so delicious!

Mine was this salsify and lichen soup at a new restaurant in NYC called Aska. I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had in New York. Here's the restaurant's website.
