Portland Thorns FC name Cindy Parlow Cone inaugural head coach

The Portland Thorns FC named their first ever head coach on December 19, and it's a name familiar to many fans of the U.S. Women's National Team. Cindy Parlow Cone, a staple of the USWNT for many years, was officially announced as the Thorns FC coach effective immediately. Full story »

Major League Soccer held Stage 2 of the Re-Entry draft on December 14, and unlike Stage 1 which had just one player chosen, 14 players were selected during five rounds. While Portland didn't pick anyone from the available pool, there were several former Timbers or players that played locally that will be changing teams. Full story »
