  2. Where were you when you heard about the attacks? I was home on North Haven that morning, trying to make some calls to New York and confused over why they wouldn't go through. It wasn't until a friend called my daughter Hannah, who had just moved back home from New York, that we heard the news. That night a big group of friends and family gathered for dinner in my kitchen, stunned at the days events and grateful to be together.

Time has moved on in the 11 years since then, but that moment still hangs there, as surreal, shocking and scary as ever. We should never forget what happened that day, though I doubt we ever could erase those images and feelings that burned onto our hearts.

  7. Took a great tour of the York County Community Health Center in Springvale. This is Martin Sabol, the director. Funded with an Affordable Care Act grant, this is a great investment which will serve 6,000 patients a year and create 21 fulltime jobs.
