Washington, D.C., Nov 30, 2012 - Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today panned the White House proposal for averting the fiscal cliff.
 
          "Simply put, the White House’s plan is not a serious proposal to get the country back on the right fiscal track,” said Flake. “A mixed bag of tax increases, infrastructure spending, and control over the debt limit without a significant roadmap to address entitlement spending makes this proposal from the White House completely untenable.  Republicans have expressed a willingness to compromise to avert the fiscal cliff – now it’s President Obama’s turn.”
