Senator Stabenow Attends Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Blue Water River Walk in Port Huron
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow today attended the ribbon cutting of the Blue Water River Walk project in Port Huron. Sen. Stabenow has been a strong advocate for this public-private partnership, helping to secure critical resources to revitalize the waterfront in Port Huron and boost local tourism. The Blue Water River Walk project will restore 1,400 yards of St. Clair River shoreline in downtown Port Huron, renovate the historic ferry dock, construct a fishing pier, and create a River Walk Trail.
"Today's groundbreaking is a wonderful milestone for the Port Huron community and everyone involved in the Blue Water River Walk project. I will continue to be a strong advocate for this public-private partnership, which will help boost local tourism and preserve the St. Clair River shoreline, so Michigan families and visitors can enjoy this beautiful waterfront for generations to come."
