Opening Ceremony of the 2011 Hubei Wuhan USA Week
Ambassador Locke delivered remarks at the opening ceremony of the 2011 Hubei Wuhan USA Week. Around 260 guests were invited to the ceremony and banquet, including a delegation from California led by the Assembly Speaker Pro Tem; a delegation from Columbus city, Indiana led by the Mayor; and leaders of US companies including Walmart, Metlife, Motorola Solutions and GE. Both the Governor and Vice -Governor of Hubei Province attended as well as the Party Secreatary and Vice Mayor of Wuhan city.

USA - Hubei Business and Investment Forum
September 22, 2011, Ambassador Locke gave opening remarks at the USA - Hubei Business and Investment Forum hosted by Beijing FCS and Am-Cham. In the audience were US-based attendees seeking Chinese direct investment as well as Hubei counterparts seeking foreign investment. The event attracted more than 100 participants from Wuhan, Beijing and abroad.
